Seems not so long ago when I was just fifteen,
I met you and fulfilled my dreams.
It was the summer of '97
Best time of my life.
I knew one day in the future I would be your wife.
We danced in the rain,
You chased me like two little children, I wanted you to catch me.
We fell on the ground, an rolled around.
We kissed an made so much love behind closed doors,
because if our parents found out there would surely be no more.
Remember when we used to sneak off in the woods,
It was just the two of us walking in between all those pine tree's.
That summer we became one,
entwined together like clouds in the sky moving in one swift motion,
One waiting for the other to come inside.
You asked me to marry you that July,
looking back now, "oh", how time does fly.
That summer was the one to remember best of all,
until our children came along two years later.
"Oh yes" then we had even more of a blast.
That glorious year in "97" my life was on the way to being so complete.

Haha cool. I liked it. It's pretty funny, that making love part . Congrats on your children! One thing, though, is (maybe you meant to do this), but I think it's supposed to be '97. I'm not sure if you meant to do it with the quotes or not, but I just thought I'd point that out. Thanks for your entry

what a sweet summer in 97 and an even sweeter story to follow
. And yes....we as the "older" generation might frown at hearing "as young as fifteen"
But I always catch myself and remember that once upon a long time ago
I was 15 as well [and that is all that I will reveal
]It is so refreshing to hear that you went on from that summer [it is now 10 years later] and the happiness still spills out with every word of yours. Please also know that a lot of credit for making it work has to be given to you and your beloved, for it sure is not easy nowadays to make a relationship work....especially when we are that young----but you both did, and it brings a smile to my face. I was married at the age of 18[I left my home country in Europe to follow my hubby to the USA] it is now 24 years and 2 kids [one of each]later....and yes , we also are still together
thank you for making my day with this write [a happy beginning as well as a happy ending]

I almost thought that lasting relationships at a young age didn't exist anymore. That they died off with the 50's. This is really sweet. I anjoyed every word.
