first love; true love
once love's sad demise
a thousand lifetimes have passed since then
yet only yesterday in my mind
one thought created
a million dreams ago
a child conceived and then destroyed
I still think about it so
the generations may quickly pass
and disappear like all our dreams
but the child that was and then no more
christ! we were only seventeen...
once love's sad demise
a thousand lifetimes have passed since then
yet only yesterday in my mind
one thought created
a million dreams ago
a child conceived and then destroyed
I still think about it so
the generations may quickly pass
and disappear like all our dreams
but the child that was and then no more
christ! we were only seventeen...

I'm sorry to hear you had to go through this. Being so young couldn't have made it any easier to bear either. I'm really sorry for your loss. Thank you for entering this touching poem in my contest and good luck.

I like how something sweet and innocent splintered into something difficult and defeating. Well done.
Best of luck and thanks for entering! -
teen pregnancy and abortion are a tough issue. Sure makes you grow up fast. I hope I never have to worry about that.
-
This is so full of the right emotions... My sympathies are with you... Noone can forget a miscarriage, more so forced...
