Why love isn't like a story

Stories though their beauty lies,
Upon a million pages,
And though their precious meaning lasts,
Throughout the many ages,

And though they tell of so-called-love,
In novels and fairytales,
Words and pictures, paper bound,
Reality, they fail,

For love lies somewhere deeper,
Than a book upon a shelf,
Eternal timelessness,
In dreams and journeys of oneself,

It lives and breathes forever,
And it can't be caged in covers,
Even if in certain tales,
They tell of perfect lovers.

I agree completely. Gotta love a poem with truth and meaning. "And it can't be caged in covers," is my favorite line in this piece. Very very nice. Hope all is well with you sir.
