Pen Found At Intersection (AP)

Today (Friday) at approximately 1910 hours GMT
En-route from The Oval to Elephant and Castle
At the A3204/A3 intersection with Newington Butts
A cyclist doubled back at the lights
Waited for the sequence to repeat
Chose his moment and swooped
Swept up a glittering silver pen
Rescued it from the road
Bore it off to Literary pastures new
Scribbled inanities on a beer mat with it
Inspected it
Intersection pen was not so silver
More silvery
Had advertising on side and wrote in blue
But still
Cyclist said "I was pleased to find this pen
At an intersection."

No pens have been reported missing.
