Secret of Gain

Circumstances enslave, threaten and tempt
feeling, thinking and deciding choices
preventing perfection, wholeness and fulfillment
when Joy is challenged within gain

Insightful understanding of life’s flowing
and of trials and tribulations
assures meaningful and significant outcomes
when Joy reigns within the gain

Staying power of continued existence
committed dedication of peaceful strength
preserving tolerance of diligent determination
are unleashed through Joy in gain

When lifting Eagle’s soaring wings
enable gifts of elevation, excellence and gain
Joy’s dynamic secret is released
within faith, knowledge and assuredness.

What I really like about this is that behind all those words, there's a really clear message; they're not just empty words, they really uplift the reader. Good job! I also like the subtle hints of alliteration here and there: "preventing perfection," "diligent determination" ... very nice touches.

    I couldn't agree more! There's still an "l" missing from fulfilment though~

Wow! Indeed, winning is quite a nice/high feeling ^^ but I never saw it so linked to "faith" or "knowledge"... nicely written out too! I’ll be working towards wrapping my head ‘round this new connection you've pointed out. Btw, there's an "l" missing in "fulfilment"... any, thanx 4 entering!

      I just had to reply

You can either lie down and become negative or you have the choice to grasp the fact that in all unhappy events there is something from which to grow - however, JOY is the key to a fulfilling growth experience. One learns from all experiences, especially from the 'not so nice' ones. Being glad for another life's lesson is the key to winning over it, not to loose control and to grow in thought, body and soul. Practice makes perfect - Joy is better than positive thinking!

Thank you for the reward - this I appreciate very much. Take a look at my reply to Mezclita. I have been practicing this together with not being drawn into the negative zone, and it has kept me on the path - just one other thing, you and I cannot do this on our own.

I had to look twice. I could sworn I was reading something Myra wrote. Are you two kin? Seriously, you're insight into the spiritual nature of the human experience is impressive.

    Sincerely,
    Leo Long

Leo, if I give you 5 stars for your comment, it will seem as if I am bragging! Thank you for the compliment with reference to Myra - this humbles me even more. Up and till a few months ago, I did not even know that Myra writes poems. We have know discovered that we have the same purpose - to 'enable others' - but each of us use our own method. However, we have 'tested' it as a team, and will do so again in September. We believe that we have something to offer enabling inner growth. After observing Myra's input and also participating to 'get the feeling' I decided to attempt writing poems. Now I have identified a couple of individuals - you being one of them - to act as my mentors to guide me in the wonderful journey of expression [and humble submission]. I sincerely hope that you will assist me and take the challenge - I am not looking for points or awards! Frans.
