It is there
in the lucent mystery of our nightly sunrise
that I stumble across
the familiar treasure that is your Radiance.
You are an ancient, anointed,
leaving hallowed moans to soak the air.
With each parting of your lips,
to drink of conversation
or lure a taste of evening to your mouth,
I extend my every self
to the cathedral of your Light.
A kingdom of orchids separated from casualties,
an Arcadia of divinity from mortality.
Awed, I curl around your Radiance,
alive and beautiful,
and take into my mouth
the Sacrement of your kiss.

"You are an ancient, anointed,
leaving hallowed moans to soak the air."
I wanna steal whatever Nic leaves.
Beautifully penned, Lady.

Now it's my turn to feel like I want to steal a line..actually quite a few lines from this poem. Beautiful love poetry, so filled with light and radiance - and I loved the metaphor you've applied here. Sighs...cathedrals, light, "sacrement of your kiss" - all those just add to this poem's quality. Gorgeous poetry, Jen.

Thank you, Nicolette, for such kind words. It's the muse who should be applauded here. I think there will be many more words radiating with his Light to come.
