Oh, King,
and let us taste
salvation!
Author notes
The Jewish Feast of Purim commemorates the bravery of the Queen Esther who saved her people from the genocide of Haaman, the "chief-of-staff" to her new husband, King Xerses of Persia. Her uncle, Mordecai, compelled her to appoach the king for help (at risk to her own life) by saying, "Perhaps you have come into the kingdom for such a time as this."
