You Fool

The reminiscence of you refuses to subside
Pathetic tears inevitably fill my eyes
My capacity to love another again has died
I hear an absence of sound from here to the skies

In awe I prevail alone in an empty field
Confound by the grief inducted into my heart
I should have never let down my shield
You’ve swindled me from the very start

You fool; you haven’t a heart at all
You’re actions will be justified
You will hear my vindictive laugh as you fall
You will feel the tears I have cried
