Gently Scathed
On this bed of gentle grass
I lay my head
completely given,
freely loving,
unflinching from morning sun.
The beauty of the day
has begun,
and I will soon go away
back to the Heavens
from which I came
during the late night hours.
Lie with me
as we fade away
together
on the sunbeam
that scorches us
as it rises
leaving behind only
the memory of us.

. The last stanza was bittersweet yet ever so romantic[like lovers that remember times of old
