Strolling the floral garden one mid-summer's day,
intoxicated by the fragrance surrendered by such beauty.
Intense vibrante colors of rainbow hues,
guarded by protective thorns.
Each flower holds natures secret from the world,
released the minute the bud opens.
The bush of white roses captured my eye,
one open rose was striped red upon one petal.
The rest of the white roses
were turned, and bowed facing this one.
I stopped and contemplated for a long time,
the air was dry without a breeze.
When I turned to leave, wind was in my face,
quickly I turned back to the one white striped rose.
The striped petal had fallen from the rose.
Slowly the rose closed,
and moisture formed along the stem,
as though the flower were weeping.
Out of nowhere a dark cloud appeared.
A light rain began to fall.
After a few minutes the rain subsided,
and the closed white rose reopened.
I had to believe I saw it with my own eyes,
there was another single petal stained with a red stripe.
intoxicated by the fragrance surrendered by such beauty.

Your attentiveness to details, like the moisture forming along the stem, put the reader at your side, sharing the wonder and delight of this experience. Very enjoyable.

This piece was filled with detail, as well as imagery! I was surprised by the vividness as though I could feel and smell the roses. There were many moods/emotions that your words carried forth and this piece was full of poetic meaning. Keep up the great work and congrats on the HM!

Exceptional Write
So descriptive I could almost smell the fragrance of the flower. Or many be it was that I have the window open and can smell the roses. Either way I loved the picture you have painted here. Amazing job. Well enjoyed with that grand aroma of life. (LISA)
