I am a little dewdrop
Glistening in the morning sun
A dawn diamond for a short while
Long gone ere day is done

I like the comparison of a diamond and a dewdrop....and no, I won't be so strict as to say that the rules were broken because the last line rhymed with the second one. I will take that as sheer coincidence and wish you the best in the contest,
