Gazing at the world in fishbowl wonder,
feeling the fauna below me
as the breeze caresses
my frame.
Sun's waking crescendo
stirs fowl and furry faces,
causing my very core to quiver
with anticipation.
Stretching out, I remember
the lakes and rivers,
rainstorms and clouds
I have been a part of,
washing clean this world's injustices,
nurturing and replenishing
every living thing
I touched, an integral part
of life's cycle.
Relaxing, I meld once more,
as the day's ride starts anew.
Author notes
We are all connected with every living thing, joined perhaps through the moisture we all share.

Lovely
I am pleased to see a gold trophy on this piece. Such an awakening verse.
"I touched, an integral part of life's cycle" . . .
Truer words there cannot be. So pleased to have read this beautiful poem tonight. Thank you. ~Pamela

A well deserved gold trophy and a wonderful take on the prompt you were given. We are all connected although I think sometimes we tend to forget.
I enjoyed reading, thank you.
