I thought I could be strong
But I was only fooling myself
The way you fooled me
With every word spilled

I thought I could trust you
But my trust backfired
Just like every emotion
That you made me feel

I thought you loved me
But you have no heart
You feel no remorse
For any of your actions

I thought I was smart
But you insult my intelligence
Every time you look at me
With those deceiving eyes

I thought you would save me
But you captured my heart
And you ripped it to shreds
There’s nothing left for me to give

So my only option is to hate you
Hate every kiss and touch from you
Hate every feature, every smile
Hate every lie you ever fed me

I now know my foolishness
