~ Think Behind ~

Think behind when you get out front
You get out front to take a punt
To take a punt no need to rhyme
No need to rhyme all of the time
All of the time a vision comes
A vision comes don't add the sums
Don't add the sums before they're done
Before they're done there is no fun

There is no fun in forcing thought
In forcing thought it comes to naught
It comes to naught if dreams just stand
If dreams just stand so still and bland
So still and bland constrained and cold
Constrained and cold with no true soul
With no true soul the words don't come
The words don't come for everyone

For everyone who seeks the sun
Who seeks the sun to have some fun
To have some fun in written verse
In written verse you can converse
You can converse if from the heart
If from the heart you've made a start
You've made a start by spilling ink
By spilling ink your thoughts you link

Your thoughts you link within a beat
Within a beat those thoughts repeat
Those thoughts repeat into the song
Into the song that travels on
That travels on into the stars
Into the stars and to the hearts
And to the hearts of everyone
Of everyone until it's done

Fun and pleasing. I have done this but just by repeating single words. That's called a wreath, I think.

I am not sure what your version is called but it turned out very nicely. Kept me reading.

LOL I like this poem, but had to read it slowly as I kept tripping up over the words, but perhaps that was the point, I think the use of words is very creative. My favourite part is the last stanza Keep it up !!!

      Thanks
It is different but then what is poetry
if not to make the thinker think
if not to make the thinker think
      Then what is poetry?
      It is different

Wow! I felt like I was listing to the left the whole time I was reading it, or swirling around in an endless circle, or trying to move forward by always taken back... Great job with this, don't know how you did it!
