You were my lunch buddy.
I would finish quickly;
(after checking to see no
freshmen were dead under
the tables)
So I could chat you up
In the parking lot
You always skipped lunch
I missed you when you weren't there
Even though I was unaware at the time
You asked me to the Senior party
Danced so hard, I cautioned that
You might shake something loose
You would need...
Stairway to Heaven, You fit so well
In the slow dances
In the back seat of that '73
Barracuda
You loved my brown eyes
The streetlight lit your long black hair
And I said I might be falling in love
It felt so good to see you so happy
And when I said I'd better wait
To make sure
You said I couldn't take it back
I never did
And it would feel so good
to make you that happy again

nostalgia sends shivers of yesterday across my
skin so far removed from her caress, what glorious moments we captured in common places, with uncommon delight, what a wndrous tale you have set here for all to relate to. thanks for your entry.~~Artis
