I Love What I have More

Reflection of inner desires firmly anchored from the core;
a neucleus of dreams, of aspirations straining to be free,
yet, reluctant to release the ties that bind in a safe haven.

Life drifts like prisims drawing eyes toward uncertain promise,
yearnings fight against common sense in a moment of madness,
breath exhaled, mingling betwixt mist and echo of a lone loon.

The anchor line follows the silent flow of the lucid current,
heart misleading the mind, the absolute seat of motivation,
how blind the one who is reluctant to see what actually is.

Opportunity is there proffered like a sacrifice to tempt,
why do I not take it? is it that my want is not truly strong enough?
I close my eyes, clear the mist, accept my limitations.

Smile with lowered lashes as they cast a shadow,
hidden flickers mirror what could be behind veiled thoughts,
I dare, yet....  I love what I have more!

    neucleus - nucleus, prisims - prisms
    A very interesting take on the picture, such deep thoughts and metaphors to paint the scene. I enjoyed the read very much. Please do not reply or rate until end of contest. Love, C
