Omei

Sovereign of emotion
It was kept locked up inside
I found that the dream world
Was a beautiful place to hide

Complete with a garden
Just beyond the veil of sleep
Where no one came to visit
And I began to weep

I ventured beyond the borders
And found a place to be
Surrounded by the people
Who seemed to be like me

For I dance with the spirit
I revel in the heart
And the beauty of their gift
Was only just the start

But I found this heart breaking
With every ache they feel
The pain they did impart
So very raw and real

I gave them my gift of dream
And that of fantasy
So that they could escape
To none reality

But the dreamers path
Is much more than hopes taking shape
And by no means
Any form of escape

For a dream is inner reflection
All knowledge sleeps in the soul
All discovery is a remembering of your self
Meant to keep you whole

So if we begin to change
Our mind won’t let us stray to far
For the person that we evolve into
Will always stay close to who we already are

Author notes

After untold years of enforced isolation, Omei, the Dreamer, emerged into the waking realms. Her garden lies beyond the veil of sleep, promising lucid dreams of every sort to those mortals curious enough to seek it. She names Herself sovereign of Emotion, blessing those that indulge in every
Sensation known to mortality and those bear insight into that which has not yet occurred.

The way of Dreaming is one of introspection. All knowledge sleeps within the soul, say the Dreamer's priests. All discovery is a remembering of the self.

I chose this name to support a friend who had lost hope in his dreams. I wanted to bring it back, so I told him that I would dream enough for the both of us until he found his dreams again. He had named himself Loki (aka the god of mischief, so I went for the Godess of dreams)
