Unfamilar grounds

Certain of things I knew
when I set my eyes on you.
Familiar it seemed
When I walked across the grounds.
When I pulled away.
Your pounding heart, met mine.
Your finishing touch,
wrapped itself around you.
Unfamiliar it seemed, when you met me face to face.
Leaned against the ground, and couldn't take it.
Couldn't change it.

All the things I Held dear, were no longer clear.
When you entered the picture.
I can't change it,coudn't escape it.
Coudn't retain it.
I'm lost on unfamiliar grounds.
