Love That Could Never Be

She is a runaway,
Defiant and Headstrong.
Haunted by her family's murder

He is an orphan,
A riddle to all
And plays a vital role to save the world.

Battles joined,
Swords clash
And lives are lost with a single blow

"I love you" he whispers
"Me too." she replies.
Amid the war-cries of the battle

Captured and killed she is
Tormented and sad he is.
A love that could never be.
