Milk and Honey

When the porcelain cup
that contains your life
is full of savorlessness
and lacks the brightness
and joy you desire,
oh don’t you fret.
The life you hold in those
corner-less walls is not
out of hope, its taste and
flavor not doomed with
stodgy dullness.
It is never too late to make
a certain change, one that will
add that desired zing to that chalice.
You may be filled with anxiety
at this point in time, but no worries.
Change shall not be too difficult.
Just simply add a generous
amount of milk and honey.
Watch them swirl as you stir them in,
and you will eventually find the
liveliness within.
