Mirror Effect

I enjoy this independence, as if it was an inheritance.
Roaming the streets for scraps of splice and for each to render me a little price
“Come at me from every angle, touch and feel as you please.”
Meandering through cascades of love, but is it really something that comes from above
“Does it have to fall from up there? Why not rise from down below?”
Restless with the never-ending moonrise, shrilling for shades of decries
“Tell me no, stop me from doing what I’m doing, deprave me from my desires”
Burning water drowns me in my dreams; it feels so good it makes me scream
“A luminescent illusion luring me to my own demise”
Him & him they’re all the same, in the end they’re just to blame
“A man who dwells in loyalty, where oh where can I search for one”
So lost and bewildered, tempted and lured but never deterred
“I must live what’s left of my life before it takes hold of me”
Shall I continue to search for you, even if my heart has torn in two?
“My soul continues on, but my heart will soon be gone”
