Why does it always have to be this way?
Crying on through everyday.
Feels like my heart has been ripped out,
But you're still something I can't live without.
You just keep on pulling me in,
You might let me go one day, but when?
I don't know what I want to say,
I just can't believe you've gone so far astray.
Why can't you tell me it'll all be okay?
With you, I guess it doesn't work that way.
I can't wait to be with you again any longer,
It'd be easier if I were stronger.
I'm writing these thoughts down,
All the while my lips twisted in a tear-stained frown.
I'm leaving this as my reply,
As one last tears drips from my eye.
And one more thing that's way overdue,
Is to write a truely heartfelt, "I love you"

My boyfriend got thrown in juvie [long long story, IM me at PuppetxInjection on AIM if you REALLY wanna know.] and I wrote this to express how depressed I'm feeling.

can really feel your pain here - it's obviuos that you really care for your boyfriend. I like the rhyme and the raw emotion that has gone into this piece.

Thank you very much. And yeah, I think if we get through it it'll definatly bring us closer but it's really hard. We're young and people seem to think I should just dump him and go out with this guy who likes me, but I really do love my boyfriend and would never do that. =/ Another reason I wrote this was because during the 15 minute phone call he gets every day, he calls me and he told me yesterday he wrote me a letter and I should get it in a few days, and I'm probably gonna put this poem in my reply.
