Journey For Light

the light before me

spreading as we near.

guiding us

helping hope into our hearts

 

crying out

running forward

the dark is over,

light has begun.

 

the cliffs flow away to our backs

the light flows towards us

reaching out,

a baby's first light.

 

the Savannah beckons

food, water

love and light

 

our long journey has finally come to an end

we've reached new places,

Our new home..

just randomly thought about this as i wrote it.
made me think of it straight away

    What an empowering journey to the light of day. This is a very motivational piece and your imagery is very realistic; putting us in the shoes of these poeple. You can feel the pain this persons written about as the venture on with hope to the light, either heaven or a more happier place to live life. An awesome, powerful piece of writing. Very well done and thank-you for the entry.
