like a ghost in my hollow past,
singing of the things that shall be
painted in the evening contrast.
Still running with the spells once cast,
my road keeps spreading up ahead.
Eternity shall be the last
of these journeys your voice once lead.

Author notes
This poem is mainly about loosing someone but still holding on to the good memories, thanking that person for everything you went through because of them. If we didn't have memories, we would never fall in love.
This is my third Huitain and I think I'm getting better at it... Well, the rhymes aren't as good as I'd want them to be, but I wrote this quickly in the train so can't help in that... And for those who don't know: Huitain is a Spanish poetry form that circles around the number 8. It has 8 lines to it and each line has 8 syllables. Rhyme scheme's ababbcbc. This is, this far, one of my favorite forms and I really enjoy writing these, even though they become a bit short for my very own taste... lol
Be as nasty as you can; I really want to learn to become better at this form!
Tell me what you think - be as bold as you can; I don't break.

Awesome lines! I've never read this form before, and I like this. Do you have more written? -

This far, I've only written three Huitains, this one being one of them. I fell in love with Pantoums and haven't written a Huitain for a while... should try at some point... the problem for me is that I'm not a big fan of short poetry... lol

Well, I'm glad that you liked this piece, it's only my third of this form. And thank you for your kind words; they mean the very world to me!
