Mild Butterflies

Twilight
Delicate bloom
Petals arouse silence
As butterflies glide wistfully
Vaguely
Wings widen the innocent night
Simplicity lingers
Of tender awe
Poignant

I'm guessing this is some kind of structure poem. I like it's simple and sweet like most of mine. good work UNT.

This was absolutely beautiful. You did an excellent job on the cinquain. I almost detected a bit of alliteration in there as well, but it may be coincidental. Awesome poem!
    Write on.

TO BE ABLE TO TAKE IN ALL OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS IS A GIFT. I DONT REMEMBER THE LAST TIME IVE DONE THIS AND IM ONLY 18. I AM ALERT BUT JUST NOT TO NATURE. I THINK THIS IS BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE ITS SOMETHING IM JUST NOT USED TO. SIMPLICITY LINGERS OF TENDER AWE, I LOVE THIS LINE BECAUSE THE WORDS ARE DELICATE. THIS POEM ACTUALLY MAKES ME THINK OF FLEECE COVERS STRAIGHT OUT OF THE DRYER. IT JUST SEEMS SO SENSUAL AND SOFT LIKE A 1 MONTH OLD BABY WRAPPED IN HER WINNIE THE POOH BLANKET, IT'S JUST REAL SWEET. I LOVE IT.

    Great

It's so beautiful even though it's so short. You have some real talent there. =]
Although the word "clearless" is kind of perplexing, I don't think it's a real word... =/

    Gorgeous

It takes some talent to be able to pull off the "pastoral beauty" type of poem. I am reminded of the times I hung around outside and absorbed every (pleasant) thing in my surroundings. "Mild Butterflies" makes me nostalgic for when I was still a kid, and still had a backyard to go out to.

Twilight is my favorite time of day, so I also might be a bit biased in my affection for this poem. (I usually hate poems about dawn. Who wants to be awake for dawn?)
