Upon the sidelines, always, I'll sit,
Taking no part with each common misfit.
Finding ill humor in goddess and slut;
Perhaps I am more than the proverbial mutt.
No chance will I take to follow in suit
Of girls all a-flutter for the quarterback brute.
Easily caught by men on the prowl--
They'll steer clear with one simple scowl!
Left to the foulness that stinks up their breath,
Perhaps they'll try taking ecstacy and meth...
However they tumble, I couldn't agree,
If I should turn to wallow in eminent glee.
Watch as I pass them, my powers grow strong,
My life is far better, and verily long!
This I have planned from childhood long past,
I will not sample until I am last.

Author notes
I've never touched much of any drug. And I plan to stay away from both illegal drugs and alcohol for a least a few years yet. This is sort of a pledge and also a short (or lengthy, depending on interpretation) scene of what it's like refusing alcohol at parties and bars and watching everyone else get so drunk they can't keep their food down and their clothes/shoes on.

Hated the reverse syntax you used here. Drove me up the wall because it made the rhyme seem so forced.
That said, I specifically said no rhyme:
"No rhyme, preferably free-verse."
