In this world we must cross the bridge of life,
We must pick out the best roses from the bushes around,
but be mindful of the thorns surrounding them.
Love is laid all over the realms of earth and air.
Many boast to find it and carry it around proudly,
but true love is bestowed not on all and sundry
The chosen ones are blessed beyond their imagination,
They do not realize the pedestal life has offered them.
Some while it away never thanking and appreciating their beloved.
But the luckier ones are those who live each day
to make their sacred love flourish in all the sunshine,
who spend their entire day just waiting to meet their sweetheart,
whose endeavours simply cover all attempts to feel the glow
that rises in their hearts on seeing their cherished one smile.
They know the priceless value of each moment of togetherness.
They gaze at each hand of the clock as it ticks along
when they are miles apart and away.
Love heals all the wounds and bruises caused by fate
It adds colours to this mundane existence on earth.
It is the reason for living, it is the reason for dying.
