How it is in America

as blood drips down the
wallpaper in africa,
cinderellas go to prom
dressed in flashy
halloween stlye clothing.

so many holes filled
with children, crying out for ice cream,
but all they get are
cockroaches.

life is a beast;
creates sluts and disfigures
prince charmings
with things like bad hairdoos.

stick a needle
in me
because i bleed blue.
thats how it is in
america.

    I love the idea and some of the words you are using. But I think that your poem needs a bit more organizing and thought. I love your first stanza, but later it becomes a bit eh. Perhaps, you can structure your other stanzas based on the first (half Africa-half America). Suggestions. Keep writing...
