I know its kind of harsh
but I dont care
The Europeans made this book
The Bible is a lie
Don't get me wrong
I do believe in God
but not the BIble
Its used to trick
people of all races
The slave owners made
the Blacks
become Christians
and learn and live a lie
The ten commandments are the best
But believe me I know the truth
and can show you
thats how much I know
Evidence books facts
The Bible keeps changing so much
Why?
A man wrote that book
changed and interpruts it every time
Do you really think
thousands of years ago the Jews
speak like we do now
They've tricked all Christians
I love God
and I believe he is my creator
but still fuck the Bible
you think Christians are good
Ha!!!
Look at Bush
Fake Fucker Fake Liar
Fuck the Bible
but only all the lies in it
I can and will Respect the truth
"I love you God
and at the end of the day
I know you know the truth
I just more people would know
of it thank you
for letting me see the truth"

You can't believe in God and the bible, the bible is the word of God, he lives and breathes through it, God's word is active and living.

Bravo!!!
I wrote something recently that deconstructed the Bible too. This direct and lovely! Kudos for your courage. A big hug.

I really like it
seems like u r really strong in ur point of view, and that gives power to ur poems...well done

You are entitled to your own opinion...
You are entitled to your own opinion; however, at the same time, I'm not required to agree with it; your language is obviously intended to be inciteful - tempting people to become offended; if you believe in God as you claim, then keep in mind that you'll stand before Him one day and He'll probably be holding a copy of this personal vent (in the event your perspective doesn't change from a repentant heart).
History has shown us that many people have been wrongly abused or killed "in the name of God". Writings like this add no value to overcoming problems people face. One cannot judge God based on the actions of mankind. It's easy to criticize. My question to you is: What are you going to do and contribute to society that makes it better to live this life on earth?
The Bible doesn't trick people; it's people's false interpretation of The Word that creates deceit and problems for others. --Joe -

The problem from where I sit is that we are talking about an abstract entity that cannot be understood or evidenced in the way we experience life. Philosphically, the notion of an omnipotent God appears circular.
Humanity, its seems, strives for meaning, but meaning is created in the way we apply it. Are we not able to do good (whatever that might be) and develop our spirituality without resorting to divisive ideology that merely serves the propogator?
What good was God for the slaves, for the peasants, other than as an opium (Marx, not me)? The Buddha talked of the thin layer of dust that covers the eyes. Remove it and you can see clearly.
I appreciate your honesty in the way that you have written this poem and I agree with some of your thoughts, but I do not like the word 'truth'. How many truths are there: and to whom do they belong? -
It is true that the bible has been passed through so many generations but if you actually take time to read and decipher all the truth it contains it shows all the sentiments which are completely against the natural human demeanor- for instance celibacy or sobriety or monogomy or righteousness and truth and light. It is so unlike our society, which you seem to hate so much, you would think you would embrace it. But actually people deny anything of truth or anything that undermines their own beliefs and practices and ideas.

Everyone are titled to their opinions but you shouldn't use the bad word we know your opinions by reading your poems. So there is no need to swear. We got the point. It is true that the man wrote the bible but God spoke through them to write the bible. So my God is real and he is the truth not the man (everyone).

See it is my opinion and I used a bad because thats how I really feel "Fuck the Bible" I mean every word of that title. You get the point but I want you to get my point and how I feel since you read the poem. How do you know that God spoke through man to write the Bible? How do you know that God speaks? Have you ever heard him talk?....Its funny how you say my God is real like theres a lot of Gods out there. How is the Bible words true if man wrote them?Don't contradict yourself I ask these questions to make a point.

Hello, I do believe everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions. It just sounds like you're kind of confused, and I don't blame you, because the Bible is very hard to comprehend, especially going from the Old Testament to the New Testament. God was much more punishing in the OT, and a loving and forgiving God in the NT. But aside from that, I respect your opinion and belief, but I beg to differ where you say you love God and believe in Him, yet you are cursing His written words and the Holy Scriptures. We all interpret the Bible and the Bible's meanings much differently, but if you do not have the power of the Holy Spirit with you, than it's very easy for the devil to lead you in the wrong direction making you confused as to what God was trying to tell you in the Bible. But that's just my opinion. I'm not bashing it, I really think it's a good poem full of honesty and I respect your opinion. I just thought I'd let you see it from my point of view, and if you'd like to just msg me if you have any questions or don't like my opinion. Other than that, a well done poem!

Hm. I think I disagree with Goldmare-- in my opinion, it's best that you DO pick and choose which parts of the bible to accept. Did God create the universe in 7 days? Should women remain constantly subservient to their husbands? Did people really live to be seven hundred years old, despite fossil record evidence that states the contrary? Did Noah actually gather two of every animal on earth (a physical impossibility, I must say).
There's a lot of good morals in the story. A lot. If you're a Christian, you should accept those morals and base your life around them. You don't need to practice blind faith in order to be close to your God. And really, that's the most important part about religion. -
Well, it certainly works for the contest, a good entry.
Nit-picking: The last stanza. The wording seems awkward. "I just more people would know of it" - I assume a word like "wish" or "pray" would go in there?
"a man"? Well, technically the Bible was written by many different men over a long period of time. It also was written almost entirely by Hebrews, not Europeans. If you are upset with the English translation, then learn to read Hebrew and Greek and use the original transcripts, which most certainly were not written by Europeans.
Actually, you might like this website: http://www.scripture4all.org/
It gives the Bible text in the original languages, the direct translation, and then how it is written in the King James version, so that you can compare and see how well (or how poorly) it was translated.
Anyway, you can't pick and choose scripture and say "I'll believe this and not that" because it all comes from the same source (whether it be God or man). What about the parts that say Jesus' sacrifice on the cross saves those who believe and follow Him from being killed in the lake of fire, and allows them to live with God in heaven? If all that is a lie, then we're all screwed, quite simply.
If you stand with one foot on the Bible and the other on secular sources, then you have an unbalanced and weak foundation, I'm afraid. I'm sorry, but when it comes to the Bible, it's either all or nothing. There is no middle ground.
Best wishes in the contest, God bless, and hopefully you'll find a peaceful resolution to this issue in your own heart.

I think that you have highlighted the fundamental problem of religions that claim to know God 'there is no middle ground'. Is that sentiment not reminiscent of 'you're either with us or against us'?
Dangerous language indeed.

I thank you so much for this entery, exactly what I was looking for! But out of curiosity, have you studied all versions of the bible?
-
-
i havent studies all versions off the bible because king james has his version and so do other people.I dont believe there versions is the truth
-
-
Wow
You definitely have a way of sharing the truth lol... I am not one to judge others and you are correct in saying that there are a lot of tricks after all the bible was written by men and we know they are not perfect. I am sure it has been altered or turned around through the ages

-
The Bible is Gods word. If you believe in Him then why don't you believe in His word? Satan is tricking you into believing that the Bible is wrong. He wants you to be deceived into not belonging to God. You will be in my prayers my dear.

-
Who said the bible is Gods words?God didnt write the Bible a man did.I dont believe you should pray for me because I believe their is a higher creator and my creator aint a book.
