this rain pours down
&&her mind[completely]shatters
it pounds out harder and faster
in a never ending pursuit to conquer
it drowns the street and the yards;
the hail, damaging&&marking.
it can pierce her skin
&soak through her protective layers,
[but only hurting]
she calls it immunity;numbness,
but they all know shes hurting.
the cold courses through,
the lightening flashes;
&flashbacks in the mind only follow.
the thunder rolls[almost]soundlessly
but she only whispers
/shh...baby...its only me/
shes surrounded by everyone&no one
and now in this empty dark
shes so quietly alone
watching the rain pour down[if it only would]
watching it soak&drown
she hurts on the inside[so perfectly in love]
as the wind picks up&&roars even harder
[he'll call it instability]
what if he's right? could she fall again
and throw off any progress
shes made in this discovery?
you're not alone
he whispers when she thinks
no ones listening;no ones caring-
when she thinks
she has nothing left to live for
and now shes searching for no one
...but herself in a covered darkness
/shh...baby...its only me/
as the rain slows
and the sun peaks out,
sliding down over the grounds
and drying the soaking misfortunes,
the cracks, the dents,
she moves out to the light;
feeling it dry the tears
she hadnt felt before now
[crying became almost normal]
the light shifts again;
causing her to blink;refocus-
taking her breath away[he always could]
"its you, you know, the reason i'm alive."
she states with a smile, her very first
love fills her eyes
& tears move down her cheeks
but not in fear or sadness this time;
but with love&&joy
in finding life.

my life got to be really out of hand and i got to the point of nothing, this poem is a mix of everything i felt from that point until now. the lines shh...baby...its only me, what happened made me hide and run. scared of everyone--including myself
thought i'd explain that a little bit.

This is really cool. You have interesting poems. This poem is sorta kinda hard to figure out what was going on(its cyptic as hell)but it tell how you feel, and it keeps my attention(which is alot more then alot of other people can say, poetry is boring for the most part)and you get across how you feel(another thing most people lack.)
