Forefather's Tribute

Our Forefathers sought justice
Freedom is why they fought
With their hearts and their lives
Our Liberty is what they bought

A sacrifice so great
The bravery of this clan
From the thirteen colonies
Our Independence began

With Victory o’er their foes
Our Declaration was penned
Then our Glorious Flag
Red, White and blue was mend

Today Freedom’s Bell tolls
Commemorates those who died
We all should take notice
And be filled with their pride

America it’s called
The great land of the Free
From the lovely mountain sides
To sea from shinning sea

    This Is Soooo...

Good and the background is so cute as well...Yor rhyme is right on and so is the meter. Patriotism permeates through the entire piece and it is nice to feel your love for your country!!!Thanks for your entry and the best of luck in my contest!!!~~Toni~~

Very well put. Concise. I like the rhyme schema you chose, I enjoy the language. Simple yet still outspoken and forthright with the ideas you wanted to portray. Practically a new anthem for our great country.
