I walked in the woods one day, just to get away from hatred and betray.
Where no one tells you what to do and who to be friends with.
No lies and myths of trust. To walk in the woods I must.
Just God, nature and me.
Beautiful plants and animals I see.
This is the place where everyone cares.
The food and water they’ll be glad to share.
On this mild day I drink from an icy cold spring.
The water is magical.
You will want to sing.
When comes to you the murder and hate of today,
Don’t let it lead you astray,
For the woods is the place to pray.

A very idealistic first write and quite well done. Too bad we often lose some of these sentiments when we grow up. I too can remember taking refuge in the woods.
