Flight

The wind through my hair,
speaks of great freedom.
I wish I could taste,
just once that promise.
To fly to the heavens,
on silver tipped wings.
Though the likelihood is;
I never will.

Though I dream that someday,
I might.
I dream that I might fly in to the sky.
To soar and dive.
On silver tipped wings.

Just like a dream.
Yet, maybe; just maybe.
One-day I will

Author notes

I often dream of flying; it really is the one thing I've always wanted to do above all others. However due to my fear of heights it's likely I never will.

Please tell me what you think

    Welcome to allpoetry

The flying dream is a common dream. I know many who have had it. I too dream of flying. Its the landing I could do without. Nice flow and structure.

I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.

    God Bless
