Sudden gushing rush of tears
Bringing the waves of lost feelings
While mind has gone numb
Heart is panting with fearless fears
As walls are closing in crushing
The clausterphobic lifeless cadaver
Covered with layers of bones and skins
Hurting with obvious pain
Tracing back to dried up life
Sinking deep in the murky waters of self pity
Without any known reason
Naked eyes refuse to see
Stranger eyes sunk deeper in body frame
Lost in the world of their own
As amnesia mind wanders
Through the crowded streets of known outsiders
Alienated from inside out
Locking the entrance doors shut tight
No Entry, the welcoming board reads
Painted in dripping blues
Violins are bleeding waxed ears
With the high notes coming from loved ones
Like shooting arrows piercing through and through
Fighting the winning lost battle to be left all alone
Chained to leather sofa decorated with popcorn
Underneath the sleepy hollow brain
Just surfing through endless channels on big screen
As lifeless sickened body lays down racing to nowhere domains
Don’t worry no help is needed
Can’t revive back for the plug has been pulled
It’s pointless talking to a body deceased
No degree of motivation is required
For hope is dead inside
I’m ok, I’m just fine, the magic words
Spoken through lying blackened lips
Just another bad day is happening
Nothing much just desire so to be left alone
Scared of losing control of everything
Family, friends, career, all that matters matters no more
For no more quality time is left to spend
There are no more reasons to be smiling
Now look into the eyes of your family who cares
Ask your left out friends who have always been there
Four legged you adopted is waiting at the door
Dreams are cozy with sleepless moonlit nights
Now tell yourself you have nothing to lose
I’m sure you can’t
But here’s something not at all funny
You have fallen victim to chemical imbalance
With millions of others at every corner of the globe
Fighting their battle of depression
That can be won
Just with a little step that will take you to your destination
Realizing you need professional intervention
Seeking advice from a therapist
Letting the psychiatrist to fade away the chemical imbalance
And give you back what belongs to you
Your life back to you, waiting for you to live to the fullest
So, please don’t shy away from reality
It happens to the best of us everyday
Being scared is perfectly normal
Don’t believe depression is the stigma of being crazy
It only means you are stronger than rest of the world
To stand up for what you have build
The dreams of real life you refuse to give up on
For everything you have worked so hard
So, don't shy away from your strength
For depression is curable if you desire to be cured
You deserve better, you desrve to live fuller complete life...

Wow ! Excellent!
This is by far the best pc. i've read in a long while. A great, great imagery of word usage. Color in depression, I'd say. Oh man! and 4th, 5th and 6th stanzas. Amazing just amazing!
And such a message this sends. i don't suffer myself for some odd reason. I get mad at things out of my control. Then I give up and laugh at bad luck in life and read the riot act to my laughing angels and thier bad sense of humor. And believe me I've been through some tough ones.

Thanks buddy for taking time to read this, this is close to me, scaringly close, but then with excellent support system of my family & handful of friends, it was easy for me to jump back on my feet in no time... Still sometimes it hits with just twists & turns life is taking right now, but with exercise & poetry to vent out, it helps me to keep myself on track... But fortunately it never went out of control only because of my strong family support system... So, no complains about life throws at me, for it never leaves scars... I appreciate your support, I just hope to send this message specially for clinical depression stricken folks... Exceptional. I love the idea of looking at depression as a form of curable death. I really do understand That depression is curable but medication is not a solution. I have personnally gone through depression and really the best and only solution is talking with the people you care for and that carefor you. Anyways I really love this piece. You're an outstanding writer keep it up.

wow, this is a strong powerful piece, i like how you gave hope at the end instead of just talking about the prob. you did a fantastic job on this, portraying the emotions and hardships, even one who never experienced this could connect and get a glimps of what it must have been like, maybe then if I meet someone with that condition Id be better equiped to provide support. great job again!!!! -Jacen.

unfortunate it is that they can not see these words and find the strength to over come these fears..

My thoughts exactly upon depression. your meaning was truly stated in this piece. and i bet it is one of your masterpieces as well is it not? good emotion throughout the whole thing. i was on the edge of my seat the whole time, awaiting my breath to slow down.
