so sad yet uplifting,
you know she's quite gifted.
like the lonely wolf,
left out in the rain.
don't annoy her,
she will come after you some day
when you've forgotten her, left her back,
in some part of your brain,
discarded her memory
(in favor of that kid you knew
that was kinda annoying but had totally cool shoes)
she will find you
and in the dead of night
she will strike,
and bioy, she don't miss.
a blade will be stuck,
protruding into your dreams.
you'll wake up sweating
but won't see a thing.
nervous you'll sleep,
quite unaware
of the danger intruding,
from right over there.
(up, to the left, and over an inch)
you might open your eyes,
right when you should flinch.
"ah ha!" she will cry,
waking up the whole house,
caching all unaware.
quiet as a mouse,
she will sneak down the stairs and out the front door,
running accross your front lawn and into the night.
the blade will be blue, thats stuck in your heart,
blood squirting everywhere and that's just the start,
you'll scream and you'll scream, oh, but no one will hear,
they'll all be watching blu dissapear.

Dark and abstract-ish. . .I liked reading it but I think I've herd you do better.

I love the angry, vengeful feel to this. I don't think it's Dr. suess-ish at all, I tend to really like these types of poems myself..... unfortunately my only rule to this contest was that it couldn't have been previously entered in another contest. But feel free to enter another poem.
