My heart
has no feeling
without my lover's touch
too pour rainbows into my soul
creating gardens where nothing grows
I am a hollow aching cave
unless she comes to me
dressing with care
my heart.
I slept
in my first peace
from her soft caresses
no longer a dying spirit
this cocoon of darkness at last broken
under passion's sultry hammer
rising from my coffin
where so often
I slept.
Sunrise
shines in my blood
because you fill me so
as I ride dawns like an eagle
seeing horizon's instead of deserts
discovering all the lush textures
never seen with shaded sight
savoring each
sunrise
