A Child In Heaven

Missing image

Don't look past today
into tomorrow.
For if you do
you'll only find sorrow.

Strength for today
is what to pray for.
Don't accept less
and don't ask for more.

Her laughter was music
to all those she loved.
Her voice of an angel
was a gift from above.

Although she was only
a small child of ten,
She gave all that she had
to family and friend.

Now that she has gone
to a much greater place.
We will never forget
her most precious face.

Our love for dear Cayla
will continue to grow.
Remembering her smile
and the joy she showed.

With every beat of our heart
we continue to ask why.
In our every prayer
God hears us cry.

When we get to Heaven
it will become clear.
However until then
we must remain here.

Life without her,
will be hard and strange.
In a mere instant,
our lives quickly changed.

A child in Heaven,
smiles as she sings.
Her soul is anew,
with Heavenly things.

    A Beautiful Dedication

A beautiful dediction. I am so sorry for your loss. When innocence is taken from us, it is so very hard to understand. I cannot even fathom how it must feel, as I have been fortunate in my life. Beautiful of you to share these precious words. I am certain they offer great comfort to all who have lost a child in their life. ~Pam

IT wasn't easy. My sister only survived because of Jesus and His comforting love. She is about to give birth to twin boys. They won't replace Cayla, but they sure are a blessing. THank you for your kind words.

God, do I feel your pain.

    When God calls little children
    To dwell with him above
    We mortals sometimes question
    The wisdom of his love
    For no heartache compares
With the death of one small child
Who does so much to make
Our world seem wonderful and mild
Perhaps God tires of calling the aged
    To his home up above
    So he picks a rosebud
    Before it can grow old
God knows how much we need them
So he takes but a few
To make the land of heaven
    More beautiful to view
    Believing this is difficult
    Still somehow we must try
    The saddest word mankind knows
    Will always be “goodbye”
So when a little child departs
    We who are left behind
    Must realize God loves Children
And Angels are hard to find

Have you ever heard, "Streets of Heaven" by Sherrie Austin or "God Speed" by the Dixie Chicks? I feel these songs, really put a bright light on the feeling of losing a child, whether it be our own, or that of a family member or friend. May your niece rest in piece and may her memory always be preserved. Leave the tears behind and smile, for she blessed your soul with true love. that can never be taken away.
