Dark lies spill
Like sparkles hanging
From your perfect mouth.
Promises of the truth
Sprinkle themselves, hidden
Among methamphetamine kids
Who see rainbows and stars
In colors of grey,
White, and neon.
Glittery whispers are
Glamorous under disco balls
Shining of gold instead
Of standard silver;
I used to think you
Were indestructible here,
Surrounded by pathetic
Intentions of romance
And cheap sex that would
Only make your head spin.
Floating in a wonderland
Filled with broken glass
And sharp truths,
You are the only kid
That puts on a facade
Of cocaine and heroin
Induced happiness.
