Weakly calling out for someone to love me
I can’t imagine that someone could be so mean
As to say that I’m not worthy of their love
That I’m not beautiful enough
What blows my mind even more is that he’s my husband
The one who’s supposed to love me when no one else did
But now others love me and I wont let him
Seems our relationship is beginning to end..
Simplicity of love is true
Either you don’t, or you do
He doesn’t and I have that to accept
So I sat in my car at the bar and wept
Wanting to find someone to show me love
Searching for someone to fill me like a glove
Don’t get me wrong that’s not all there is to life
But that’s exactly what I expect from being someone’s wife..

Boy have I been there... I once wrote about feeling like a character from "Fiddler on the Roof" only I arranged the marriage. 6 yrs later, I left. I stayed for 5 kids and 17 yrs. Wonder why it takes so long to get the point that sometimes, we are meant to be loved by someone else? Things do improve. There is a glove out there with your name on it.
Thanks for commenting on my little verse this morning. Sometimes you have to feel sorry for the guys...but not quite. lol Serves them right for the hell they dish out to have to figure us out! lol hugs hon, ~Amber

Ok. Interesting title. I really like the ending of this. The ending pushes the poem square on the pages of reality: love, glove, life, wife. Great meaning mixing these abstract words with grounded words. LoveGlove Lifewife. or GloveLove WifeLife.
Interesting metaphors get created by the ending words of last stanza. -
Not all people should be married. I don't know why society or religion says that is the way life has to be like. You grow up you get married you have kids and the cycle is unending. I don't think that is for everyone, and sometimes it is forced upon people and probably why divorce is such a high occasion.

...I think you and I should chat sometime, I can say we've probally got alot of similar stories to tell, really. I like how you acknowledged that your relationship is dying out, that's so hard for some people to do but acceptance I think is what shows who is going to be happy later on.

I do hope things will be better for you soon..

Yup life is like that like a roller coaster ride. I take solace in the fact that joy comes in equal measure. Some husbands don't know how to treat women.

Hey, I'm sure things will get better. They always do. You just have to be patient enough. The write was good, it really expressed how you are feeling right now. Don't lament over what's lost and never will be again. Go find true happiness with someone who will appreciate and love you for who you are.

sad, i have no useful advice, except that everything happens for a reason...look at it whichever way you like...i can say i liked the poem, well structured, and fluent...very expressive and honest at well...everything sort of comes together very nicely
