My Mother

You were my mother,
when she wasn't there.
You were my mother,
when the real one didn't care.
You were my mother,
then, now you're all that plus a friend.
You were my mother,
when she was too busy for me.
You were my mother,
when she just needed to be free.
You were my mother,
when I woke up late at night crying for her.
You were my mother,
then.
You Are my mother,
now....and I love you...
Thanks for everything Grandma.....

How lucky you are to have A grandma who loved and took care of you.
    Beautiful work.

At the risk of sounding compleatly idiotic... I think this is such a sweet poem! I sincerely hope you have given it to your grandma, or at the very least, shown it to her, because I think that something like this would be the best thank-you she never would have expected!
    Take care! xxx

Very nice, so sweet to write something like this for a grandmother that stepped in to take up the slack. Sounds like she is a terrific lady, thank goodness you had such a sweet and loving grandmother. I did too, and I thank my stars every night that she was in my life. Good work, welcome to AP and hope you enjoy!!
