Twilight
Angels falling in
A grave defeat.
Crashing hard
And imprinting deep.
As they fall,
the children change
no longer pure,
instead just stained.
They forget to laugh,
And no longer shine.
They have no thought.
And will not rhyme.
As they turn
And forget the sights.
They lose their innocence
And turn out the light.

I love how you use children as a big factor here. The loss of innocence definitely relates to The Shot Down Angel. A beautiful write, I love that at the end they 'turn out the light'. Very symbolic.
