Lovers In the Night

Wrap me in the sound of silence,
As day meets her end,
Where I will walk in shadows,
Whispered to by the wind.

The heavens are laced with stars,
Moomlight paints sparkles on the lake,
While other people sleep in velvet slumber,
I'd much rather be awake.

I can taste the forest,
Brush across my lips,
Feel a cooling breeze,
As at my skin it nips.

Come be with me in darkness,
As she calls her siren song,
Hidden among her secrets,
Until the call of dawn.

Hold me close beside you,
With the night become a part,
Let me lay my face to your chest,
Listening to the sound of your heart.

Tomarrow will come soon enought,
But for now the night sets us free,
Dawn will claim us in the end,
To night please belong to me.

Beautiful poem, my lady. Enticing and tempting, and makes a man wish he could disappear into that dark forest and not emerge at all. Excellent!
