If Choice is Choice

Intense the sense of pattern which the mind
Never ceases weaving as the Way
Advances over Time and rhyme to find
Meaning's meanings simple, sure, yet fey.
Ideas, ideals, freethinking underlined,
No superficiality where they
Allow free range - as spirit well designed
Marks space to place wor[l]d catalysts which may -
If choice is choice not circumstance designed -
New windows open through which interplay
Another, and another insight wind
Make constant progress through syllabic play.
Infinite, hope's opportunities
Now tendrils touch, much scope soul further frees

A very complex write that can develop meaning on so many different levels. The description itself of a person as a spiritual being with the conflicts inherent of living in this day in time is breathtaking.
One thing you may want to be aware of though, in an anonymous contest, all author info is hidden from the contest host, which is why I asked for the info in the comments.

The rhyming within the lines really makes you focus on what's being said. Complex, wonderful imagery, some of the metaphor was a bit tricky for my poor brain But then that's not your fault. An original look at religion, best of luck in the contest! By the way, you didn't put your name in your author notes, I think you're meant to

      Reply to chugglepuff

Where the need for explicit arguments in favour of a given point of view falls into a "conversion" mindset, this often accompanies narrowminded and or dogmatic standpoints ... the emotional crutch of organized religion is all too often used as an intellectual escape hatch or an emotional whipping post.

Where one's name appears both as pseudo and also in the copyright information it appears sufficient and if held out of court then so be it

Oops, sorry, I really need to wake up :S And thanks for making things clear for me! I've got a severe case of stupidity at the moment...

    Outstanding

Another intricate, thoughtful poem with a sense of searching for ideals and spirituality and gaining insight with experience. Your poetry has a sense of depth and is always original. Impressive. Best of luck in the contest.
