Esbat

Lunar brilliance lights the sky
And though perhaps we wonder why
Attracts the moth and spirit, both
And holds their hearts in gleaming oath
Beckoning to faery-folk
Who dance till dawn, 'neath ash and oak
And whispering a lover's song
Which carries us through days so long
And speaks a spell to bind us here
While shedding light like silver tears
And drawing nigh the ghosts of they
Who sleep not easy in the grave
And plays a tune which wolf replies
And lays seductive in the skies
Robed in velvet, black as coal
And gazes to the very soul
The moon, her beauty uncompared
Takes breath away, leaves senses bared
And in her silent wand'ring by
Some pause and wonder at the why
So simple being as the night
Should hold a magick, streaming light
And in the deepest hearts, a cry
As lunar brilliance lights the sky

Of course you may Ram! I'd be honoured. It's not quite what I was hoping for... but the magickal beauty of the full mooon is difficult to grasp with words. Thank you for your comment. Blessed be, my friend!

Oh this is heavenly! A gift of praise and thankfulness so lovely! Your words do weave a poetic tapestry my Dear... the rhyming so gently and naturally flows throughout and creates a chant of praise and admiration unequaled. Isn't it a joy to have such a poem just be birthed from the soul? We know by this that our hearts and thoughts are in perfect alignment with nature and the ancient ones. Thank you so for sharing this...my heart is blessed by it's beauty!
Blessed Be Sister...and Happy Esbat to you!
    Merry Part!
