That you make men sweat
One look at your legs
And their armpits get wet
Their hearts beat so fast
That they lose control
Their money is yours
Along with their soul
And deep in the night
When passions are great
They'll tell you most anything
And not hesitate
To beg, steal or borrow
To keep you at home
With knowledge that someday
Those legs may just roam
And then they will wallow
Alone in their bed
With one round in chamber
Destination... the head

I have this friend who always gets compliments on her legs. She laughs and has no idea why guys always talk about her "dang legs!" I think she would appreciate this poem with wicked pleasure...
Well done, my friend. -
Interesting poem Bob. Obsession...and when the obsession walks from our lives, we suddenly don't know how to live without it.
This has many layers, and underneath it all, very sad and lonely.

I think that underneath this humor, is a heart tainted
by the whole scenario of this clever piece of poetry.
Whether its real or not.
Are we really that magnetic

Wow. the rhyming was terrific, the emotional range of this poem was amazing. It was almost a contradiction of emotions, that wanting and love is equal to or leads to pain and death. It was a wonderful poem and it made me think. a very thought provoking piece.
-
WOW!!!
An amazing poem, worthy of the gold, I say!!!

what a shame though - that some from the get go will focus on those gams.
I took this with the humor intended and found it certainly fit that category. You didn't miss a beat with the flow on this either.
nicely done with a light theme to get us smiling. (despite the shot-gun ending).
