Lips suspended in the air
Laugh and rotate around my
Head, as I sit motionless
With vacant eyes - lifeless and
Almost dead.
Fists and feet thud on the wall,
Thud, thud, thud, thud, and
There is no reason for this
Incessant-pounding-jabbing -
None at all.
I clutch my hair with my hands,
And bow my head – defeated
And alone, amidst a whirlwind
Of laughter and of noise, for I am
Far away from home.
I am losing my mind and being
Absorbed into a sickly syrup of
Nonsensical humour,
The cause of which I cannot grasp.
And is it aimed at me?
The crescendo builds and drowns
Away my precious thoughts,
And my hands are left cradling an
Empty shell, for my mind has fled
This laughing, cacophonic hell.
