I laugh and snicker while I grind my teeth.
The match is lighted.
I toss it and watch the gasoline ignite the Christmas tree.
The fire reflects in my blazing eyes.
I snicker.
The presents slowly burn to ash.
The decoration crack and melt.
I smell the burning tree with a pleasant glow.
I smell the burning tree with a pleasant smile.
I watch.
As it burns I watch the glass angel on the Christmas tree’s roof.
It is turning red from the heat.
It is turning red from my hate.
I laugh as I film the tree with my video recorder.
I laugh as I watch the existence I knew burn to ash.
I laugh as I watch the pain drain from me.
I laugh.
I place the camera down.
Taking the gasoline, I anoint myself with it.
You can see my smile a mile away.
I pull out the match box and laugh.
With one stroke I start to vanish into the air.
I pull out a cigarette and light it from my blazing body.
My last little treat.
I start to dance as I disappear.
As I become what I have wanted all along.
Into nothingness.
I grin.
