Harrison And Lennon

"As we relate from our pagoda in the sky
there is a message we are compelled to pass.

As you all are aware,
the course of time is a matter of coarse consequence,
in reference to all things, in all manner, in all speech,
in awe of nothing other than reality,
is the ultimate cause and effect one upon another
that will determine the final outcome.

Nothing is without obligation
that will ever be considered of little importance or
as primitive as reacting upon an unmentionable thought
when taken out of context.
To rearrange and distort deliberately a process of thought,
events that are proven throughout history of an ancient society
that dwells upon things of the past,
lacks ability to move forward for fear of what lies ahead.

Embrace the challenge.

Is there a head?
Where is your proof?
What is your method of measure?
What it was like to be a man of a woman has no bearing of such a burden.
Finally to arrive in a time without restriction of movement,
which in a previous form one would choose some rather undesireable means
to achieve an unattainable goal,
although the mind would allow the temple to be abused
in such a manner to obtain height.

Has something flicked your switch?  Can you feel it?  Are you dreaming?
Does it matter?  Should it matter?
Have you won the war?  Have you fought the fight?
Will you continue existing?
What is your concept of love?  Do you have a concept of love?
Are you with a being without?  Are you without a being?
So many questions with plenty of time.

We'd love to turn you on.

Life without shame and no one to blame, thoughts of tomorrow today.
I just had to laugh, I saw the photograph.
Love is in all things and survives, eventually we will love hate to death.
The chart to follow is in the spirit of mortals who will reach the year 2167.
Don't be confused it makes perfect sense, the mural is on the cloud.

Hate is removed from the future.

I read the news today oh, boy about a lucky man who made the grade.
The stars of today illuminate tomorrow
with a light brighter than the most enlightened thought
that will never be extinguished from the wave of length
impulsing one's movements in perfect harmony in coexistence
with natural surroundings for proof that peace does exist one person at a time until all is fulfilled.

Live lovingly today for tomorrow will take care of itself
with a chuckle in the air
which is better than being stuck in the throat.
Freely we have given our thoughts on this matter and are very glad we did.
We give thanks to the portal that allowed us to pass but,
we must return our pagoda awaits.
As someone very instrumental in our lives once said.

Let it be".

Holy shit! Your not going to believe this but than again you are probably the only person in the world who would believe. I had a dream of meeting John Lennon and George Harrison outside a Pagoda Temple and having a conversation with them. We went inside the temple and worshipped then they walked me around to a staircase against an outside wall and we all proceeded upstairs. About a third of the way up we came to a doorway and I was told I couldn't go any further at this time. I thanked them and we bowed to each other and as I walked down the stairs I heard the door close behind me. In the morning I felt calm from the experience and moved to tears. That who was I to be given such a dream.

Very deep and philosophical. I love the way you have woven the two Beatles thoughts on life together and added your own web of questions. Very nicely constructed. Love the song lyrics.

Interesting. I found myself thinking of the different Beatle songs you take lines from. It was a special time, a special place, and one we won't go back to any time soon.

The poem was difficult to follow at times, but that was in keeping with the way these two Beatles talked - never in a straight line.

    Superb plus

I quite agree. You express your thoughts quite well, indeed. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Again, well done. Here's a Google Link, which one can click on for more info about the Beatles:

This is a very interesting write, but the ideas presented are convoluted until almost meaningless to others. Perhaps your 'channelling' was for you alone? The words of songs made more immediate sense than did the narrator's philosophical playing with the ideas behind them. Pagoda in the sky makes little sense - pagoda being an English word derived from Portugese and referring to the Indian stupa, a building used to house holy relics, creating a link between earth and heaven.

You had me interested with the title, can't go wrong with the Beatles. They have done so much for the development of Rock Music that even if you don't particularly like their music (I do like them) the bands you listen to were likely influenced by them.

    Nice write.

You surely knows a lot about George Harrison and John Lennon. I fully agree that tomorrow will take care of itself, and that we need to live lovingly today. Like John Lennon said ... let it be.

    W O W.

This piece had a lot of strange effects on me. As an avid Beatles' fan I was thrilled by how deep into Harrison's and Lennon's philosophies it went.
"What is your concept of love? Do you have a concept of love?
Are you with a being without? Are you without a being?"

These were two of my favorite lines. They are the epitome of the two Beatles, in my opinion.

I did find certain lines a bit awkward, like the longer ones where you quote Beatles' songs word for word, but I suppose that too is essential to the final meaning of the poem.

    Very well done! Extremely unique!

    A Torturous Trip

I found your work both hard to read and hard to get anything out of it. Perhaps they were just high again when they came to you.

your poem reminds me of some books like kryeon, sourya, or similar books with channeled messages ...

there is one side of me who is fascinated by them - and another one that is reluctant ...
mostly, I feel either overexcited or confused when reading channeled messages, connecting with the astral realms, and my body disconnects completely (freezing, a knot in the stomach, being spaced out ...)
then, my other side jumps in and brings me back to here and now ... then, I feel peace again ...

thank you for sharing your experience through this verse ... for me, the message of "let it be" invites us to surrender our need to know and control, and to just be ...

namaste,(the divine in me honors the divine in you)

Beautiful words of a time of deep thinking, when the younger generation wanted to find out, understand and not just blindly accept. I couldn't read through it all without "hearing" it in that soft Scouse accent after the first few lines. An amazing write.

Reading this obviously I had to read again, for some confusion did cloud my mind as to the exact clarity of the messages perceived within the poem.
Many great writers have made profound and seemingly truthful one liners that cannot be questioned, for they seem the truth and are set in concrete.
After reading this three times I became aware of my own beliefs non of which are founded, or set in stone. They do not need to be.
My simple answer to everything is.
There are no answers, and therefore there are no questions. As you say just let tomorrow take care of itself.
I have learned to live in fluidity of the mind, never taking any reasoning as fact, or any fact as truth.
For everything is ever changing, as are mens minds and hearts.
Tell me what you think read this simple poem I wrote.
You see i see it as we are always asking questions just trying to understand it all.Yet we never really find the answers. And never will.

So I agree in all respect.
    Just Let It Be!

I read it once then had to read it again in a scouse accent!

There's much deep wisdom here 'The stars of today illuminate tomorrow with a light brighter than the most enlightened thought that will never be extinguished from the wave of length impulsing one's movements in perfect harmony in coexistence with natural surroundings for proof that peace does exist one person at a time until all is fulfilled.'

This makes sense, 'one at a time until all is fulfilled', this stuck in my mind because we're passing the flame to each other until all are ablaze. We have the power to do it!

    You're an enlightened soul.

    Peace Georgia

Beautifully written! It had a very flowy, knowledgeable air, but it wasn't too in-your face. It was thought-provoking and honest; definitely one of the better pieces from the contest!

I'm not sure if it was intentional, but the excessive commas and run-ons made it seem a little jumbled. If you were going for that effect, it was brilliantly done.

Sorry for the lame comment. My brain is really frazzled (long workdays need to die). In any case, good write, and good luck in the contest!
