Night fog setting in,
ship's horn in the distance
as waves slapped the dock.
Smell of the sea,
tide is going out
seagulls searching for mussels.
couple walking,
Hand in hand
Clicking heels rushing.
As they passed me
I heard them whispering
Giggling as they talked
Children riding bikes,
mom and dad follow
Pleasure on a summer’s night.
Jingle of a leash,
A dog and his master
Out for a nightly walk.
Shades of night creeping in
as sounds become softer
darkness obstructs view.
Voices heard, but not seen
silence in the night
Listening to dark whispers…

Very nice, but it seemed like you were just listing imagery for most of it, however it was nice overall.
I don't think this will win, so I'm going to remove this from the contest. [I have 100 entries.. it's easier to stay organized by doing this] Thanks for entering though.
