Ballroom

They move across the floor
Their Talent I truly adore
Look at her fabulous dress
The numbers on their backs
They flow and sway beautifully
Look how they seem so free
Smiling with every step
The music turned up loud
Look at the enthused crowed
If I could dance like that
Feeling my partner grasp my hand
I would dance all night and day
Praying my feet wouldn't give way

Author notes

My inspiration for this is ballroom dancing
It's an art and I just love watching the dancers. It's truly a talent.

    OOOH! COOL!

This poem has a special place in my heart because I used to do ballroom dancing (Cotillion Club in high school). You did an excellent job describing the scene and I loved how your admiration for this often looked-over art form came out in your words. Very well done!
Thanks so much for the entry!
